Welcome to our new HAIO!
From 1 October 2026, we are delighted to welcome Dr. Katrijn Vrancken to our general practice as a GP trainee (HAIO).
She is starting her specialist training in general practice and will be working in our practice for one year. Dr. Vrancken will conduct consultations independently, under the supervision of the permanent doctors in our practice.
We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Vrancken to our team and look forward to a great collaboration!
SUSPENSION OF NEW PATIENT INTAKE
Dear patients,
Due to the departure of Dr. De Schaetzen, we are obliged to maintain the patient stop for an indefinite period. This measure is necessary to ensure continuity of care and to remain sufficiently available for our current patients.
As a result, it will temporarily no longer be possible to register as a new patient at our practice.
In the meantime, we continue to actively search for additional reinforcement for our practice.
We thank you for your understanding and trust.

In addition, we work closely with various paramedics in the region to provide a comprehensive and high-quality care offer. Of course, as a patient, you retain your free choice of care provider.
Your general practitioner is your first point of reference for various health problems:
- Diagnosis, medical care and follow-up of a health problem
- Blood tests
- Preventative care
- Gynecological examinations and follow-up of pregnancy
- Pre-operative tests
- Vaccinations and travel medicine
- Psychological counseling
- Guidance on how to quit smoking
- Minor surgery

The National Council of the Order of Physicians recommends that treating physicians do not conduct insurance examinations on their own patients in order to guarantee independence and impartiality. These examinations are therefore ideally left to physicians who have no connection with the patient. MCH has independent physicians who can take on this task in support of the general practitioner.
For medical examinations in the context of insurance contracts, we will therefore refer you to the consultations available for this purpose at MCH.
Vision
We aim to be a genuine ‘Family-doctor’. In this philosophy, we can provide better follow-up for our patients, taking into account the medical side as well as elements such as family situation, professional aspects, personal experience… Thus, we try to offer you a level of care that is both scientifically proven and adapted to your personal needs.
In modern medicine, multidisciplinary care is no longer an hollow concept. Together with other health professionals (nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians, specialists,…), we strive to give the best possible care through close collaboration. We as GP’s have a key supervising role in this matter.
